Love Never Fails- Mini quilt and Table Runner

Happy Valentine’s Day! Love Never Fails is the perfect Valentine’s Day project.

Instead of buying into the commercialism of this cold weather holiday, I like to reflect on 1 Corinthians 13.

“Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails;”

I wanted to make a little Valentine project that was short and sweet, so I designed Love Never Fails.

With a handful of 5 in. squares, I was able to whip both the mini quilt and the table runner up in a weekend.

The mini quilt is finished at 28 in. x 28 in.

The table runner finishes at 17 in. x 35 in.

The mini quilt consists of 4 blocks: 2 heart blocks, an X block, and an O block.

The construction of the X and O blocks are essentially the same. The only difference is the layout of the 4 quadrants. This adds to the simplicity of the quilt pattern.

The mini quilt uses accent squares as the cornerstones of each block and the center of the sashing.
