Jungle Brigade- Jungle Paradise by Stacy Iest Hsu

Jungle Brigade is a beginner-friendly quilt pattern, although it is fast and fun for all levels of quilters! This pattern is available in six different sizes: baby, small throw, large throw, twin, queen, and king, making it a versatile quilt for everyone to enjoy! This particular version of Jungle Brigade in this blog post was made as a twin, measuring at 76 in. x 89 in. The fabric line used in this quilt is Jungle Paradise by Stacy Iest Hsu.

My mom and I made this quilt together for my daughter, Wren. She will be graduating to a twin size bed soon, so I wanted to make her a special quilt.

Wren has been a big fan of Disney’s movie Encanto, so she picked this fabric line because it reminded her of Antonio’s gift. Cheetahs are her favorite animal so, of course, she picked the cheetah print for both the backing and binding.

Quilting Jungle Brigade

I have been so impressed with Elaine’s work that I wanted her to try quilting this quilt too! It has been so nice to let someone else do some of the work for me in the quilting process. I found the perfect quilting design on Urban Elementz called Monkey Jungle. The monkeys matched the fabric line so well, I couldn’t resist!

 

Wren was my little helper in photographing Jungle Brigade. She was so sweet to let me photograph her stuffed animal friends.

 

She had so many ideas on how to set her guys up just right for the picture.

 

 

Tester Quilts

Anne-Marie always makes the prettiest quilts! She has her own Longarm quilting business, and one of these days I will ship one of my quilts to her!
