Rainbow Days Mini Quilt

The Rainbow Days Mini Quilt is a beginner-friendly quilting project. It can easily be assembled on a rainy day or a weekend, or whenever you have some spare time to quilt! I hand-picked some Kona Solids for the background and used Ruby Star Society’s Birthday for the white umbrella. This mini quilt measures 36 in. x 36 in.

Rainbow Days was such a fun project to make, and it doesn’t take long at all! From cutting out the fabric to finishing the quilt’s top, it took me a total of 4 hours.

This was the first project that used big pieces of fabric, and I loved it! Everything came together so quickly. The polka dots took the most amount of time, but they were so simple to make.

 

After I finished the quilt’s top, I was very indecisive about how I wanted to quilt Rainbow Days. It was starting to stress me out, so I set it aside for a few days before coming back.

Finally, I decided to quilt it with chevrons! I thought it gave it a little bit of a rain-drizzle look.
