Hugs & Kisses- A Valentine’s Quilt

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and we have been spreading lots of love around the Yellow Umbrella Quilts shop! To show our support for the holiday of love, we have created a beautifully designed quilt we love to call — Hugs & Kisses. This is a throw-size-only quilt, measuring 60 in. x 72 in, and features a unique quilting pattern that you or a loved one are sure to enjoy!

Our Featured Pattern

When it comes to the season of love, we know our customers deserve a truly wonderful option that features unique quilt patchwork patterns. This modern heart quilt offers an intuitive way to rapidly produce four patches. With cute Xs and Os, it is the perfect Valentine’s quilt.

We Strive for Variety

Since this Valentine’s Day quilt pattern is Fat Eighth- and Fat Quarter-Friendly, it offers the quilt a bit of variety for the heart, X, and O blocks. No matter the section you choose to admire, you can rest assured that we have thought of the perfect quilt designs for our holiday feature!

No Sashing!

One of our favorite things about Hugs & Kisses is that there is no sashing! Once all of the blocks have been made, the quilt top comes together quickly and easily.

The Block

The blocks measure 12.5 in. unfinished. The modern heart blocks lend themselves to large print fabrics, allowing quilters to utilize those big prints in precut bundles without getting lost in the quilt. This was intentional as we want you to have a stress-free and fun time sewing your quilts!

The Fabric Line

The fabric line used in the Hugs & Kisses quilt was Falling in Love by Dani Mogstag for Riley Blake Designs. For the background fabric, we thought that Riley Blake’s Cross Stitch in Coral was the perfect pairing.

We Make Things Simple

Our good friend Elaine quilted this lovely Valentine’s quilt. She used the pantograph Conversation Hearts from Urban Elementz.
