Cutting Instructions

From Main:
Cut (1) 10.5 in. square

From the Accent:
Cut (8) 5.5 in. squares

From the Background:
Cut (2) 7 in. squares
Subcut (4) 7 in. half-square triangles
Cut (4) 6.5 in. x 10.5 in rectangles

From the Binding:
Cut (3) 2.5 in. x WOF strips

Sewing Instructions

On the wrong side of the 5.5 in. accent squares, draw a diagonal line.

Sewing on the diagonal line, stitch the 5.5 in. accent square to the top corner of the 6.5 in. x 10.5 in. background square.

Trim 1/4 in. from the seam. Press towards background.

Repeat for opposite corner. Make (4).

 

Next, sew (2) flying geese units from the previous step to the 10.5 in, main square. Then, sew a 7 in. HST to each side of the remaining flying geese units.
