Beacons in the Night is a Charm Square friendly quilt. It is for a Throw size only. All a quilter needs to make this quilt is a Charm Pack, 3/4 yard for Accent 1 (yellow flying geese), 5/8 yard for Accent 2 (navy squares), and 2 3/4 yards for background fabric.

For this quilt, I used Only You by Andover Fabrics charm pack, Bella Solids Lemon for Accent 1, and Bella Solids Admiral Blue for Accent 2.
I fell in love with this line of fabric immediately. I adore the combination of blues and yellows in this line. There are green and white colorways in this line as well. However, I wanted the contrast of the blues and yellows, so I used 2 charm packs and substituted out the whites and greens.
I wanted the navy to signify the darkness of a storm. The yellow was meant to signify the beacons from a lighthouse. Lighthouses remind me of God’s love, it pierces through the darkness of any storm. John 12:46 says “I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.”

Beacons in the Night was quilted on a long arm, using Flowerumpus from Urban Elementz.
